Back in the Box

Seems like this blog has become more about running and surfing than development lately, so let's get back to the work for a bit. After seven months at Huge, I have been lured back to Springbox, the interactive agency in Austin where I worked for two years before moving to LA. In 2005, I was Springbox's ninth employee. The company has since grown, been acquired and recently opened an LA office, and I rejoin the agency as the 75th employee. It was tough to leave Huge (them's good folks), but I'm excited to be the first developer at Springbox LA and look forward to building out the development team here. I'm really psyched that the office is in Culver City, just 10 minutes from our apartment and hardly a mile from Janet's office at Ogilvy. We can actually meet for “business lunch” now, which is a tremendous opportunity — provided we adopt a multi-tiered strategy that speaks to our talking points while positioning the proper benchmarks for measuring the performance of our deliverables, it's an action item that I think we can certainly leverage to yield increasing dividends in upcoming quarters — but let's take that offline.
